Nina is an Architect supporting both design and consulting functions at KMA. She brings strong architectural modeling skills to her role and a well-grounded passion for accessibility. After receiving her Bachelor of Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University, Nina pursued roles at various agencies throughout Massachusetts, including 5 years focusing on academic and historic buildings and a shorter stint in interior design.
Growing up with an older brother that has a cognitive disability, Nina observed his challenges navigating life. This exposed for Nina the shortcomings of design, and the potential to make a difference in the space. Learning about accessible design technology sparked an interest for accessible and inclusive design. Through KMA, Nina found a way to marry her personal story and her professional interests.
Nina has a strong creative drive and when she’s not designing at work, she enjoys crafting such as crochet or a unique style of embroidery called punch-needling.
