Veronica (Vero) joined KMA as an Associate in 2019 after working in inclusive design for 15 years in Spain and Argentina. In addition to her design projects, Vero contributes to multiple project types such as ADA Self-Evaluation & Transition Plans, cultural facilities, K-12 schools, and higher education. She also helps organize KMA’s monthly speaker series as well as being the keeper of the firm’s archive of inclusive design and accessibility resources.
In addition to her Master of Design, Art, and Public Space from the Elisava School of Design and Engineering of Barcelona, Spain, Vero also earned an undergraduate degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the National University of Tucumán, Argentina – her hometown. Her creative and collaborative spirit is nurtured by her deep passion for creating immersive and educational experiences for people of all ages. Vero has lectured on inclusive design and urban environments in Colombia, Mexico, Austria, Argentina, and the US, and her work has been recognized through international awards from the Bernard van Leer Foundation, Walk21 Vienna, and the Spanish Agency of International Cooperation for Development.
Vero is an aspiring “curator of connections” who enjoys trips back to Tucumán, but whose kids are just fine living here in the US – thank you very much. When Vero is not at work, you can find her dancing, riding her bike, or singing karaoke with her family and friends.
